The main limit on PixGo is the per-charge cap of your tier. On top of that, the payer's bank may apply its own limits, and PixGo Wallet has specific purchase and cash-out limits. If you bump into "QR Code rejected" or "customer can't pay", each case is explained calmly here, with practical examples and what to do.
- Per QR Code: depends on your tier (Beginner R$300 → Elite R$6,000)
- Payer limits: the payer's bank and payment institutions may apply their own limits (not set by PixGo)
- Wallet Buy Crypto: R$15 to R$500 per day in purchases
- Unlimited QR Codes per day — generate as many as you need
- Tier progression is automatic, no support request needed
The limits you need to understand
| Limit | Applies to | When it blocks |
|---|---|---|
| QR Code amount | Each charge you generate | Tried QR above your tier |
| The payer's bank limits | Customer paying | The bank or payment institution declined the PIX |
| Wallet Buy Crypto | Buying crypto with PIX in the Wallet | The day's purchases went above R$500 |
Your customer pays a regular PIX and the money arrives as DePix in your own wallet. See how the PixGo PIX gateway works.
Create accountLimit 1 — QR Code amount (tier system)
Each QR Code you generate has a ceiling based on your current tier. You start as Beginner (R$300) and rise as your total received grows. It's automatic progression — no request needed, no waiting for review.
Full tier table
| Tier | Unlocks at | QR up to |
|---|---|---|
| Beginner | R$0 received | R$300 |
| Bronze | R$300+ received | R$500 |
| Silver | R$500+ received | R$1,000 |
| Gold | R$1,000+ received | R$1,500 |
| Platinum | R$3,000+ received | R$2,000 |
| Diamond | R$5,000+ received | R$2,500 |
| Elite | R$6,000+ received | R$6,000 |
"How to level up?"
It's automatic. For every R$ that lands as completed on your Dashboard, the system sums and promotes you. No "request upgrade" button, no ticket, no manual review. Sell, level up.
Sub-sellers registered under a parent account (parent_user_id) inherit the parent's tier — so if you have a team, register everyone under the same main account so all start at the high tier.
"What if I need a QR above my tier?"
3 options:
- Split into two QRs: sell half now, half in another QR. Customer pays twice.
- Wait to level up: if you go from Bronze to Silver after the next confirmed sale, the cap jumps to R$1,000.
- Use a custom checkout from My Store: checkout can accept variable amounts, but individually each charge is still tier-capped.
Limit 2 — The payer's bank limits
This limit isn't yours or PixGo's: the payer's bank and payment institutions may apply their own PIX limits, by amount, time of day or frequency. They vary from bank to bank and from customer to customer, and PixGo doesn't set them.
What happens when the PIX is declined
The customer probably sees a generic error in their bank app ("transaction not authorized", "limit exceeded" — varies by bank). If the PIX was declined, money doesn't leave their account, and the QR on your Dashboard doesn't become completed.
"What to do?"
- Check the limit in the bank app: the customer can see their own PIX limit and, in many banks, adjust it.
- Try later: some limits apply by time of day or per day.
- Generate a new QR: if the QR expired while the customer sorted it out, generate another one.
Limit 3 (bonus) — Buy Crypto on PixGo Wallet
Buy Crypto is a feature of the PixGo Wallet (not on the PixGo site) — lets you buy crypto directly via PIX, without going through a seller's QR. Specific limit:
- R$500 per day in Buy Crypto purchases (cumulative daily limit, not per purchase)
- Resets at midnight (Brasília time); the minimum is R$15 per purchase (R$100 when the token is BTC)
- Applies only inside the Wallet, in the "Buy Crypto" option — doesn't affect any other limit
To buy more than R$500 in one day, create a charge in Generate Charge (pixgo.org/depix) — the DEPIX reaches your wallet by the end of the next day — and then swap inside the Wallet (no amount limit on internal Swap).
Limit 4 (bonus) — Wallet Pix button (cash out to bank)
To send PIX directly to a bank account via the Wallet Pix button (CryPix integrated), the minimum is R$100 per operation. No defined maximum on PixGo's side — follows CryPix rules (variable per operation amount). See dedicated article for that specific exit.
"Why do these limits exist? Can I increase them?"
Each limit has a reason:
- Tiers (R$300 → R$6,000 per QR): system builds reputation gradually. If account is new, lower amounts limit damage in case of fraud. Grows on its own as history builds.
- The payer's bank limits: set by each bank and payment institution, outside PixGo's control.
- R$500/day Buy Crypto: daily cumulative limit for direct crypto purchase via PIX inside the Wallet, resets at midnight.
- R$100 min Wallet Pix: operational limit of integrated CryPix.
The tier table is the same for all users — no paid premium plan. Same rule for anyone earning R$100 or R$100,000.
Special cases that confuse
"My customer says they paid R$2,000 and nothing arrived"
Check the Dashboard:
- QR status is
completed? Then the payment went through, and the DEPIX reaches your wallet by the end of the next day (D+1). - QR status is
expiredorpending? PIX was rejected, money didn't leave their account. - Did the customer's bank decline the PIX? Some banks apply their own amount or time-of-day limits.
See article PIX was paid but DEPIX didn't arrive for the full checklist.
"Customer wants to pay R$10,000 at once"
Not in a single QR: the per-charge cap is at most R$6,000 (Elite). You can split it into more than one charge, each paid from the account of the CPF or CNPJ entered on it, keeping in mind the customer's bank may have its own limits.
"I'm an affiliate, do I inherit the tier?"
Yes, if you were registered as a sub-seller under a parent_user_id. So your QR ships with the parent's cap. To confirm current tier, open the Dashboard and check the top panel.
"I'll receive R$50,000 in a month. How?"
PixGo has no monthly cap on the total you receive: what matters is your tier's per-QR limit. Each customer pays within their own bank's limits, so a base with many customers scales better.
How to see your tier and progression
- Go to pixgo.org/depix (the Generate Charge page)
- Find the tier button (medal/trophy icon with current tier name)
- Click it — opens a modal showing: current tier, icon, progress bar, and how much to reach the next one
- The bar updates automatically as your confirmed sales come in
No detailed "historical" progression view — the modal shows only current tier and how much to go. For complete sales history (date filter, export), use the transactions list on the Dashboard.
FAQ
Is the QR limit the gross amount or what I receive net?
It's the amount the customer pays (gross). If you're Bronze (R$500/QR), you can generate a R$500 QR — but you receive R$489.50 net after fees. The system validates the gross.
"I got a chargeback / MED. Does it count toward tier progression?"
No. Refunds (refunded) and MEDs are deducted from the "total received" count for tier purposes. If you hit Bronze at R$300 and had R$100 refunded, you go back to the R$200 count (Beginner).
Does the Buy Crypto limit reset on Brasília time or UTC?
Brasília time (GMT-3). Midnight in Brazil = resets.
Does an expired QR Code count toward leveling up?
No. Tiers only count confirmed PIX (completed). An expired QR wasn't paid, so it doesn't count.
Are there limits for Buy Crypto?
Yes: R$500/day cumulative in Wallet Buy Crypto, resets at midnight. Don't confuse with QR limits — different products. To swap existing DEPIX (already in the wallet) for USDT/BTC via Swap, no amount limit.
